Besides providing outpatient services, Gloria will personally visit immobile patients by giving them medical care and her utmost attention. Although she contracted an infectious disease on the island, she never thought of giving up and continued working. The villagers call her "Mama Gloria".

　　Aids instill fear in many people and among the patients, the most innocent are those children who contracted the illness from their parents. And when their parents pass away, no one dares to touch these children -they are often abandoned in temples or left to die in the streets.

　　Karl from Germany believes that every child is entitled to a happy childhood. As such, he set up an Aids Children Village (Baan Gerda) in Thailand, with the aim of allowing children to pass on in an environment filled with love.

　　But with new drugs and the tender loving care of village staff, the children are able to live on healthily. The challenge at hand now is, some of these children will soon leave the village to study or make a living. Will the outside world be able to accept them?
